77/80: Hong Kong: Victoria Peak 15.1.2015 (vain kuvia/only photos)

Mahtava 80 päivän matkani on lähes lopussa. Lähden paluumatkalle kohti Lontoota tänä iltana Malaysia Airlinesin siivin. Tasan 80 vuorokautta tulee täyteen maanantaiaamupäivällä, joten vielä on aikaa ehtiä Reformikerholle! Kirjoitan blogiin matkakertomuksen Australiasta eteenpäin Suomeen palattuani. Vielä on monta juttua kerrottavana! Tässä Hong Kongin näköaloja Victoria Peakista torstaina. Blogia seuranneet, olisi mukava lukea ajatuksianne vaikkapa kommenttikentässä! :)

My great journey in 80 days is almost in the end. I begin my return journey towards London tonight. Flights are by Malaysia Airlines. As I need to be back at the Reform Club before Monday morning, I've still got some time left to make it! I will write blog posts about Australia and onwards after I'm back in Finland. There are still so many stories to tell. Here are views of Hong Kong from Victoria Peak on Thursday. 70/80: Taipei, Taiwan: Maokong 8.1.2015 (vain kuvia/photos only)

Torstaina matkustin teeviljelmistään ja teehuoneistaan kuuluisaan Maokongiin gondolihissillä (TWD 50/suunta, noin 1,3 euroa). Matkaa sinne on neljä kilometriä, välissä on kaksi asemaa, ja matka kesti noin puoli tuntia. Menomatkalla olin samassa lasilattialla varustetussa vaunussa ihanan taiwanilaisperheen kanssa – kommunikaatio sujui, vaikkei yhteistä kieltä juurikaan ollut. :) Perillä söin elämäni ensimmäisen osteriomeletin (muistaakseni TWD 70), ja hyvää oli! Paluumatkalla olin yksin tavallisessa vaunussa. Auringonlasku oli aivan huikea. Kuvat eivät tee lainkaan oikeutta tälle mahtavalle kokemukselle, joka on ehdottomasti matkani Aasian osuuden parhaimpia.

On Thursday I travelled to Maokong by Maokong Gondola cable car (TWD 50/one-way, about 1,3 euros). It's 4 km ride, there are two stations in between, and it took about half an hour to get there. I went there in a 'crystal cabin', which has a glass floor, with a lovely Taiwanese family – communication was fine although we didn't quite share a language. :) When I got to Maokong, I ate the first oyster omelet of my life (if I remember right, it was TWD 70), and it was really tasty! On the way back I had a regular cabin on my own. The sunset was amazing. Any photos don't actually tell that much about this spectacular experience, which definitely was one of the best during my time in Asia on this trip.

68/80: Taipei, Taiwan: Taipei 101 6.1.2015 (vain kuvia/photos only)

Taipei on aivan mahtava suurkaupunki, ja pelkkä kaupungin kaduilla käveleminen on elämys! Tiistaina vierailin maailman neljänneksi korkeimmassa rakennuksessa, Taipei 101:ssä (lippu TWD 500, noin 14 euroa).

Taipei is an awesome city, and only walking on the streets is an experience! On Tuesday I visited the 4th tallest building in the world called Taipei 101 (ticket TWD 500, about 14 euros).
